Block 1 prerequisites

CGEH/CGEA or general baccalaureate level

Know how to install an Equimetre and explain how it works

Level 1 validation : test  

Level B1/B2 in English

OBJECTIVES OF BLOCK 2 – EQUINE PERFORMANCE DATA MANAGEMENT

Know how to apply physiological and sporting concepts to the analysis of the performance and health of the horse athlete 

→ Understand and explain advanced health performance parameters

→ Know how to interpret basic and advanced data and analyze sports performance

→ Know the basics of the main pathologies of the horse athlete and detect early signs of pathologies (longitudinal follow-up framework)

 

BLOCK 2 CONTENTS

→ A mathematical review (drawing a graph, units of measurement, classic calculations…)

→ Use of Excel applied to data analysis (clean, filter, build a pivot table, plot a graph…)

The anatomical structure of the horse (cardiovascular and respiratory systems, connective tissues and muscles, energy metabolism, biomechanical bases…)

→ Effects of training on the various tissues (muscles and connective tissues, skeleton, respiratory and cardiovascular systems)

→ Training (performance, stress tests and indicators, longitudinal monitoring, etc…)

→ Common pathologies (myositis, tendonitis, colic, ulcers, HPIE, bone and heart pathologies…)

 

ASSESSMENTS

The materials are divided into 5 chapters with several parts.
At the end of each part, you’ll find quizzes and exercises to assess your acquired knowledge.


A final assessment takes place at the end of the block!
